Responsibilities
- Lead an Infant, Toddler, Preschool, or VPK classroom
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P.® Curriculum
- Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans
- Track and document children's developmental progress
- Build strong relationships with families through daily communication
- Ensure compliance with all DCF licensing standards and health and safety requirements
- Mentor Assistant Teachers and support a collaborative classroom environment
- Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or early learning program
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to meet all Florida licensing requirements
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Preferred:
- Active CDA Credential
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Experience as a Lead Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Childcare Teacher, VPK Teacher, Infant Teacher, or Toddler Teacher
